I have just watched the video of the fireworks taken from the Catanaran. My birthday is on the 5th November and being english there was always fireworks on my birthday which I detested. I was so fortunate to witness Madeira fireworks first hand and was awestruck by the magnificance of the event and the atmosphere of the Madeiran community. I may not have been born on the island or live there but have visted for the past five years and Madeira gets into your blood.
